Kids love Lego and it is one of the most beloved presents to give a child at Christmas, this year is no exception. There have been a heap of great sets out this year so we take the guess work out of choosing which set to give, whether your child is a long-time Lego fan or is new to the toys.
Best Lego City Sets
Like most years there have been some great Lego City sets released in 2010. Fan favourites consist of the new Power Functions train sets, the new Airport (3182) and the Fan's choice for 2010, the group transportation set (8404). Not surprisingly all three deal with vehicles which are always beloved with both kids and adult Lego fans.

Smaller sets that drew a lot of concentration within the City theme consist of the City Delivery Truck (3221), Helicopter and Limousine (3222) and the Pig Farm and Tractor (7684) set.
Best Star Wars Lego Sets
Always beloved with fans, the Star Wars theme had a estimate of highlights this year. The most supreme of which was the most recent publish of Boba Fett's Slave 1 (8097) and the new At-At (8219). It is safe to say any way that one of the most beloved Star Wars Lego sets for 2010 is yet to be released, with the extreme assembler Series Imperial Shuttle (10212) on target for a November release.
Lego Castle Sets
The Lego Castle theme was renamed "Kingdoms" this year and came with a new look. Highlights with fans included the new King's Castle (7946) and Outpost strike (7948) in the larger sized sets while smaller hits were Knight's Showdown (7950) and Prison Carriage salvage (7949).
Harry Potter Lego Sets
No list of the best Lego releases for the year would be complete without mentioning the upcoming Harry Potter Lego releases, due out in November to coincide with the publish of the penultimate Harry Potter movie. There will be some very beloved sets in this theme and will be worth checking out if you know whatever who is a fan.
With news of new 2011 sets being moderately released we can be assured that Lego is here to stay and will bring smiles to many faces come Christmas morning.
